Honest beauty has been on my radar for a while now, and I finally got around to trying out some pieces from this brand. Honest Beauty is the brain child of actress Jessica Alba and the whole ethos is a ‘clean beauty line’ free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, and mineral oil. The aesthetic is one with a glowing complexion at its forefront, something you guys won’t be surprised to hear I’m all for. After trying all the products, I wanted to share the products in the line that really impressed me.

First up lets talk about my skin care favourites from the line. The Everyday Radiance Moisturiser is a great all rounder, perfect for all skin tones. This moisturiser absorbs quickly but leaves the skin feeling hydrated, and for my dry skin girls out there, mix in a drop or two of my second favourite in the skincare line, The Organic Facial Oil. This also doubles up as a more intense way to nourish the skin especially at night time. For those of you looking for a reliable but low maintenance skincare regime, these two are perfect for covering all your skins moisturising and hydration needs.

Honest Beauty have recently undergone a rebranding with the makeup line, and I think its safe to say there’s a lot of emphasis on simplicity and great skin. The Everything Glow Primer is now a favourite in my pro kit, especially when I want the skin to look radiant without adding any shimmer. It also has a very subtle yellow undertone which gives the skin a slight warmth and radiance while helping to knock back any redness. To further the glow, The Magic Balm is one of the most universal products in the line and the kind of product you’ll find most makeup artists can’t live without. Use it to add sheen to the high points of face, as a lip balm and to sheen the eyelids for a more editorial finish.

If I had to pick a personal favourite from the entire line it would be the Creme Cheek Blush in Peony Pink. A true cream blush that stays fresh and plump looking, the right side of dewy without feeling sticky. This blush is the ultimate pick me up when my skin looks tired and dull. I also think you can’t go wrong with the Lip Crayons which come in a matte and sheer formula and twist up for fuss free application. Sheer rose is my go to everyday shade, easy to wear and goes with everything. Honest Beauty offers affordable beauty that’s uncomplicated. Everything is user friendly and pretty fool proof. Expect flattering, enhancing shades that make you look like the best version of yourself.
