Does anyone else get crazy excited when they hear Glossier has a new launch? I spent last week in New York which meant a trip to the Glossier showroom was a must, especially with a certain launch happening that week. I think this was the thing a lot of people were waiting for from Glossier, The mascara. Glossier describes its latest launch Lash Slick as the perfect everyday mascara, sculpting, lengthening, long lasting and while water resistant, easy and effortless to remove with warm water and cleanser. I’ve been playing with this for about a week now and feel like I’m ready to share my two cents.
I love the true to brand millennial pink packaging, and the wand itself is plastic with a mixture of bristle shapes and textures. The wand gave me a lot of separation and length and I’m very pleased to report it didn’t give me panda eyes so no difficult eyes here! This is (as to be expected with Glossier) a very natural looking lash, and personally I like a little more oomph with my lashes, primarily because I don’t have that many of them, and I think thats the one issue some people might have with this. If you aren’t blessed in the lash department this isn’t going to give you the volume you might be wanting, but if you hate a clumpy looking lash then this is definitely worth trying.
For me this feels more like a mascara I can see me getting more use out of in my pro kit when I want very separated looking lashes with no clumping. I definitely agree the formula is long lasting and doesn’t smudge, yet is nice and easy to remove when you want to take it off. For me personally, I’m all about a fuller lash look with an emphasis on volume, so I’ll be saving this for my kit rather than my own makeup bag. Mascara is very personal and I think this will divide people, based on their lash look preference. If you had asked me to predict a glossier mascara before it had been made, I think its safe to say this is what I would have imagined. Let me know if you’ve tried it and what your thoughts are in the comments below.
