I thought when I moved to LA I wouldn’t be aware of the seasons changing, but this year I really noticed it. I noticed the pumpkins in the grocery store and the scent of pumpkin pie in just about anything that can have a scent during autumn, Lattes, candles you name it, everything suddenly becomes pumpkin scented. While I’m not that fussed about the scent of pumpkin I am however into the colour palette. All these pretty pumpkins lined up outside the grocery stores really put me in the mood for some fall inspired makeup.
The look in todays post is using a few new favourites (listed in the shop the post section at the bottom) as well as a new palette love. Ciate London’s Astrolights Eyeshadow palette in Burnt is the perfect ode to pumpkin colour ways, rusty leaves and beautiful cranberry tones. The palette has a nice mix of matte and shimmer shadows, and the quality is sublime. Buttery smooth with rich intense pigment that doesn’t fall down the face.
This look feels like an autumnal take on my go to chocolate dusted eyelids look that I love wearing, but the orange in this just elevates the look slightly. I really love amber tones, and bright burnt oranges. The eyes are the focus of this look and by keeping everything else played down, I find this look much more wearable than you would initially imagine it to be. I really rate this Ciate Palette and its not often I dedicate a whole post to just one palette, but I’ve been playing with this for the past few weeks and have found myself reaching for it again and again. Let me know your go to palette for fall makeup looks.
