For me, healthy glowing skin is something I always want to achieve for myself and my clients, and it’s something I often get asked about as a makeup artist. I think post holiday season is the perfect time to add a little extra glow, especially when you’re tired and getting back into the swing of things. So cheating that candle lit glow creates the illusion of 8 hours sleep with little effort with these beauty aids.

For those of you who like you’re glow to be very minimal and just create a brightening effect, i really recommend Tarte’s Clean Slate Flawless 12 Hr Brightening Primer. This is great under foundation as it just adds a slight brightness and a subtle but realistic looking natural glow. You can also dab this on top of cheek bones and the bridge of th nose for a delicate sheen.

kevyn-aucoin

Next up is a new discovery and a new launch from Kevyn Aucoin. The Kevyn Aucoin Neo Highlighter is a genius product, with lots of it I might add! A beautiful powder highlighter that starts at the lighter end of the spectrum and moves towards a warmer glow. Genius! The ultimate customisable glow. This is perfect for mixing up the shades throughout the year too as you catch the sun, plus it also doubles up as a beautiful eyeshadow.

becca

Last but not least, is a staple within my pro kit, The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Creme Highlighter in Moonstone. This is the perfect shade when in doubt, a little more on the golden side but it still provides a believable dewy skin that looks like an elegant sheen as opposed to a glittery disco ball on your face. I go back to this time and time again as the consistency is exactly what I want I’m a cream highlighter, it glides and blends beautifully, and is also great for when you’re short on time. Just dab with your fingers and pat it onto cheek bones, the cupids bow of the lip and brow bones.
