This shoot is a great example of how you can wear purples and pinks by opting for pastel or watered down hues. The tones in this shoot are all very muted and complimented with silver metallic, pink crystal or black liner to intensify the lines. The above look I actually created a video tutorial ob my youtube channel which you can WATCH HERE.
The above shot I think is my favourite from the shoot, and really demonstrates how adding a wash of a purple tone to your eye can really add drama to your look. Above I used Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow Duo in Heathered Plums using the lightest shade as a wash of colour over the lid and then defined the lash line and smoked the socket out using the darker shade. I also used Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil in Black Violet very close to the top and bottom lash ones wiggles in between the lashes for extra definition.
For this look I basically went to town! Over the top of the second look, I applied a slick of Barry M Gel Eyeliner Silver from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye creating a strong feline shape. I finished the look with some pink sugar crystals, stuck on with duo lash glue.
Hopefully this gives you a few ideas how to incorporate pink and purple tones into your makeup routine! Beautiful for an evening look or special occasion, you could even just opt for the Laura Mercier Black Violet Kohl Pencil for a very subtle nod to purple hued lids!
