For this shoot it was all about playing with light and shadow and enhancing the natural contours of the face. Francine, Our gorgeous model for the day, had such striking features and I wanted to work with products that would highlight this.

I worked with a mixture of textures, using cream bases and powders to create a more three dimensional look. For the base I used Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation and Nars Radiant creamy Concealer. For Lips I applied MAC Lustreglass in Sinnamon and for sculpting I used MAC Sculpting Powder in Shadowy, as this was the perfect tone to contour the hallows of the cheeks as well as adding depth to the eye socket.

To add an all over glow I started with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Topaz and added to the high points of the face and the inner corners of the eyes. I also layered powder eye shadows with a pearl finish in golden and bronze tones on to the centre of the eye and later built up the intensity. As the shoot progressed I used Clinique Brush on Cream Liner in True Black to add root definition, layering this into the lash lines and I used the same liner in the socket line (see first image). Where I wanted to soften edges, I used a black matte shadow. I kept the brows pretty natural throughout, just adding a tiny bit of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Ebony to even out the shape.
