TOP 5 EYE PALETTES

The Market is currently flooded with amazing eye shadow palettes, and I wanted to write this post to help you choose the perfect palette for you. Having one great eyeshadow palette enables you to create numerous looks for every occasion. The best thing about the numerous choice is that there’s a palette to suit every budget too, so here’s my top 5:

1. Lorac Pro Palette

First up is Lorac Pro Palette, which also comes with an eye primer too. This makes into my top 5 because it ticks numerous boxes. First there’s a an even balance of matte and shimmers, (the top row is all mattes, bottom row is all shimmers) and the mix of tones is near perfect. There’s enough neutral shades to make it complimentary to all skin tones but it also has some truly beautiful stand out shades like Garnet and Deep Purple. I also think this is a great price for how many shades you get.

2. Urban Decay Naked Palette

Urban Decay Naked Palette (the first in the Naked series) still remains my favourite. This has a few more shimmers than mattes but the buttery softness of these shadows make them a dream to apply, they blend beautifully and again I think you get a lot of product for your money. It’s only downfall is the packaging, I do wish it was a bit more sturdy and not covered with velvet as it gets dirty quickly.

3. Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette is really great quality for a drug store product. It has a nice mix of mattes and shimmers and I would say it leans towards more golden/ bronze nudes but still enables you to create a wide range of looks from this one palette. These blend well but and last pretty well but to ensure longer wear time, use an eye primer first.

4. Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette is the perfect palette if you want more matte neutrals. This Palette contains 9 mattes and 3 shimmer tones that all compliment each other beautifully. The formula is buttery and soft, blends like dream and really stays put on your lids without creasing.

5. Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette ‘Soul’

Last but not least is Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette ‘Soul’. I use this palette all the time in my pro kit and this beauty also made it into my 2015 Favourites Video. I would say these verge on the lighter side of the neutrals. It does come with one deep dark shade but generally this palette is so good for those who prefer or a more natural shadow look. You still get some mattes but the shimmer tones are very subtle making them perfect for creating pockets of light and opening the eyes up.

I’d love to know what your favourite eye palette is?
