The water in London has been cry hot indeed the past few weeks so i’ve had to mix up my skincare a little and swap a few products round. There’s been a couple of new skin care additions into my current routine, some new discoveries and some old favourites. I generally mix between those pictured so thought it was worth sharing whats so great about them!

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturising Cream is the one i’ve probably used for the longest now, and in terms of my moisturisers I do like to rotate, but i’ve been loving this since I first tried it in January. Its a very gentle non offensive scent, and it feels milky in texture but as the name would suggest, calming and very comforting on my skin. It feels lovely to put on my skin after i’ve been in the sun all day.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart is a pre serum serum, in that you can use this as an additional boost along with your current serum. Its again very gentle, with a fresh scent. This cleverly helps boost the skins natural defences, and helps the skin renew to reveal brighter skin.

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Oil is a product that I used years ago, and I loved it back then, so thought it was time to fall in love again, and I did just that! I’m a huge lover of night time oils especially in summer when my skin needs lots of hydration and restoring moisture levels. This leaves you with baby soft skin come the morning, and it feels like a real treat when my skins been out in the sun.

Pixi Glow Tonic is now considered somewhat of a cult product, with a cult following too, especially amongst beauty bloggers and makeup artists. Pixi Glow Tonic contains 5% Glycolic which gets rid of dead skin cells and reveals brighter looking more radiant skin, and its a very gentle exfoliant. I don’t know about anyone else, but summer makes me sweat…even more than usual! And sometimes the constant heat creates little blocked pores on my skin and this is the perfect product to clean and purify the skin with.

Murad Hydrating Toner comes in a spray formula, which makes me very happy indeed, as I love having a couple of staple skincare products for when I’m feeling particularly lazy. It sprays a nice even amount of product, and instantly feels cooling and refreshing. It smells amazing, very fresh and helps to tone, hydrate and lock in moisture, which during summer is the first thing I notice my skin lacks.

Let me know what your summer skincare staples are?
