The Bridal Glow

It goes without saying, your wedding day will hopefully be one of the happiest days of your life and I think nothing says health and happiness more than glowing skin. On my wedding day, my focus was all about the skin and creating a soft lit from within glow.

For me, it all starts with consistent skin prep and I made sure I gave my skin maximum hydration and regular exfoliating with the build up to the big day. I made sure I cleansed, toned and moisturised but I also added in a few additional treatments, to target specific needs, the main one being to brighten the skin. I wrote a post about my pre wedding skincare which you can read here.

One of the key products to creating the glow on my wedding day was Tom Ford’s Mini Cream Blush in Pink Sand which contains very subtle reflects of gold and pink pearl that just make the skin look incredible. You want to opt for something that makes your skin look dewy, not oily.

A great tip is to apply the sheen to the areas that you want the light to hit, and then to add a small amount of powder using a very small brush to the areas you don’t want any sheen, mostly the t zone, so the look feels balanced.

There’s so many ways to add a glow into your bridal makeup, whether thats in your primer, a highlighter or using a cream blush like I did. Some of my current kit favourites include Oskia Get Up And Glow to give tired skin an instant pick me up, Nars Multiple in Orgasm and also don’t underestimate the power of vaseline, this is amazing for adding subtle sheen to the tops of cheek bones especially when you want a glow without any shimmer in at all.
