Sephora Cream Lip Stain is well loved amongst the beauty professionals and bloggers alike. If you are looking for a great long lasting red the shade 01 Always Red is a great suit all, true bright bold red that won’t dry out the lips. The modern matte formulas seem to apply more like a cream or liquid and then they set, giving you high impact colour in just one layer. Rest assured you can eat and drink in this! The ephors lip come in a mix of matte and shimmer shades.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick is definitely a great drugstore dupe for the above only I think you actually get a better range of colours in this range and they are all matte! The Bourjois range lasts just as well as the Sephora Lip Stain but the range of bold shades and muted tones make it a bit more accessible and as we don’t have Sephora here in London, they are definitely easier to get hold of!
Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour is one of the latest launches in the long lasting division which has received mixed reviews. This product comes with a two part application, one end you apply your liquid colour and then the second part is a top coat that sets the colour. I’d love to know what is in the topcoat as this literally would not budge…I think it’s safe to say you could actually make full use of the mistletoe with this one! Even if you touch your lip, not a trace of colour will come off, I tried smudging it across my face (for testing purposes) and this would not move! Sounds great? Well yes, I guess it does what it says on the tin, but here’s the problem…this is perhaps a little too good at not moving, by that I mean when you actually want to remove it, you will struggle with normal makeup remover! I found the only thing that got this off my lips was Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. So with that in mind I think this last one is the longest wearing of them all but it just depends how much time you like to spend removing your makeup!
